Business Portraits in Richmond, VA

DeWitt Studios photographs business portraits and headshots for companies and professionals in Richmond, Virginia. Single headshots, full team sets, and executive portraits, shot to look like the people who actually work there rather than like a stock photo of a person in an office.

Sean shoots every session himself, and he brings the studio with him. Your team does not lose half a day traveling to a photographer.

What We Shoot

Business Headshots

The photograph that goes on your website, your LinkedIn profile, your proposal, and your email signature. One good one solves all four.

Team and Staff Portraits

A full set for a company page or a directory, shot so every person matches: same light, same background, same framing.

Executive and Personal Brand Portraits

More range than a headshot, for speaker pages, press use, bylines, and profiles, including environmental shots in your own workspace.

How We Approach It

We Come to You

Sean brings a portable studio setup, lighting and backdrop included, and works in a conference room, an office, a lobby, or your actual workspace. For a session that genuinely needs a controlled room, we have access to studio space and will say so upfront.

Consistency Is the Whole Point

Photographing everyone in the same session with the same setup is what makes a company page look deliberate. A leadership page where six portraits were taken in six different places by six different people is the most common version of this problem, and it is entirely avoidable.

You Will Be Directed

Most people think they are bad at having their photo taken. They are usually just undirected. You will be told where to put your hands, which way to turn, and what to do with your face, because posing yourself while a stranger points a camera at you is genuinely hard and it is not your job.

New Hires Can Be Matched Later

When someone joins after the original session, we can match the new portrait to the existing set on lighting, background, and framing, so the page still reads as one set instead of starting the whole look over.

Business Portrait Questions, Answered

Do we come to you, or do you come to us?

We come to you. The portable setup means a conference room or an open office corner works fine, and your team stays on site instead of losing travel time.

How long does a session take?

It depends on how many people and how many looks. A single headshot is quick. A full team runs longer, and we schedule it so people cycle through in short slots rather than everyone waiting around. We give you the timing before the day so it can be planned around.

What should people wear?

Solid colors photograph better than busy patterns, and it helps if a team lands roughly in the same register rather than half business formal and half weekend. We send guidance ahead of the session so nobody is guessing that morning.

Can you match portraits we already have?

Usually, yes. If you have an existing set and need to add a new hire, we can match lighting, background, and framing closely enough that the page still reads as one set.

Who owns the portraits?

You do, under the terms of your agreement. That covers your website, your social profiles, press use, and anything else you need them for.

What does a portrait session cost?

It depends on how many people are being photographed, how many looks each person needs, and how long the session runs. We quote per project after a short conversation, so a five person team is not paying for a package built around a fifty person one.
