Event Photography in Richmond, VA

DeWitt Studios photographs business events in Richmond, Virginia. Conferences, galas and fundraisers, grand openings, awards nights, trade shows, groundbreakings, and the company milestones worth documenting properly.

Sean shoots every event himself. You are not assigned whoever was free that night, and the person you planned the shot list with is the person in the room.

What We Cover

Conferences and summits. Keynotes, panels, breakouts, and the hallway conversations that end up being the most useful images you get. Speaker shots your presenters will actually use afterward.

Galas and fundraisers. Room shots that show the event was full, donor and sponsor recognition, awards moments, and candids that read as genuine rather than posed.

Grand openings and ribbon cuttings. The handshake, the space, the crowd, and the details you spent months on, shot so the announcement has something to run with.

Awards nights and company milestones. Anniversaries, retirements, team recognitions, and the moments your people will look for on the company page afterward.

Trade shows and activations. Your booth working, your staff engaging, and the product in front of real people rather than in an empty hall before doors open.

Team and culture coverage. Offsites, volunteer days, holiday parties, and the everyday material that gives your marketing something human to post between announcements.

How We Approach It

We Plan the Must-Get List

Every event has a handful of shots that have to exist: the check presentation, the ribbon, the keynote wide, the board photo. We agree on those in advance so nobody is chasing people down at the end of the night.

We Stay Out of the Way

Business events are working events. We shoot without stopping the room, without calling for attention, and without turning your guests into a photo shoot.

We Shoot for Where the Images Are Going

Event photos usually end up on social, in a recap email, in a press release, or on next year’s promotional material. Knowing which of those matter to you changes what gets shot and how it is framed.

Timing and Ownership Are Agreed Upfront

Coverage length, what gets delivered, and when you receive it are settled before the event rather than after. Everything we produce is yours to use under the terms of your agreement, across your website, your social accounts, press, and internal use.

Event Photography Questions, Answered

Do you photograph weddings?

No. DeWitt Studios covers business and organizational events: conferences, galas and fundraisers, openings, awards nights, trade shows and company milestones.

How long do you stay?

Whatever the event needs, agreed in advance. Some jobs are a two hour ribbon cutting, some are a full conference day. We scope it to the run of show rather than selling a fixed block.

How quickly do we get the photos?

The delivery timeline is agreed before the event, because event images have a short shelf life. If you need a small set of selects fast for social or a press release, say so upfront and we will plan around it.

Can you photograph a multi-day conference?

Yes. Multi-day coverage is planned as one job with a shot list per day, so the set holds together instead of looking like separate events.

Will you get in the way of the program?

No. We shoot business events the way they need to be shot: quietly, from the edges, without interrupting speakers or asking the room to pause.

What does event coverage cost?

It depends on the length of the event, how many locations or rooms are involved, and what you need delivered. We quote per event after a conversation about the run of show, rather than selling a package built around someone else’s night.

Do you also handle the marketing afterward?

We can. Social media management, graphic design and paid campaigns are services we offer, so the images can go straight into use rather than sitting in a folder.

Have an Event Coming Up?

Tell us what the event is, when it is, and what you need out of it. We will tell you what we would shoot and what it would take.
