Social Media Marketing in Richmond, VA
Great photography and video only go so far if nobody sees them. We run the strategy, posting schedule, and day-to-day management behind your social accounts — turning the content DeWitt Studios already creates for you into a consistent presence that actually grows your audience.
Our Social Media Marketing
We treat your social accounts like a real channel, not an afterthought: a real posting calendar, real community management, and real reporting on what it’s actually doing for your business — built on the photography and video content we’re already producing for you.
What’s Included
- Content we shoot for you — business commercials, brand and spotlight videos, client testimonials, event coverage and stills, produced for the platforms they’re going on
- Content calendar & posting strategy — planned around your season, your promotions, and what your audience actually responds to
- Instagram, Facebook, TikTok & LinkedIn management — formatted for each platform, not one post copy-pasted four times
- Community management & audience engagement — replies, comments and DMs handled, because an unanswered question is a lost customer
- Paid social advertising on Facebook & Instagram — budget behind the posts that are already working
- Captions, hashtag strategy & platform-specific formatting — written for the platform and the audience, not stuffed with tags
- Monthly performance reporting — reach, engagement, and what actually drove traffic or inquiries
We Shoot the Content, Not Just Schedule It
Most social media management is scheduling. An agency asks you to send photos, you don’t send photos, and the calendar fills with stock images and text posts that look like every other business in the feed.
We come at it from the other direction. We’re a commercial photography and video studio first — so what goes on your accounts is content we made, for you, of your actual business. Business commercials, brand spotlights, client testimonials, event coverage and stills. The shoot and the posting calendar are the same engagement, which means your feed looks like your business instead of a template.
That also solves the problem that kills most social programs: running out of things to post. When content creation is built into the service, month three looks as good as month one.
How We Approach It
- We start with what you’re actually trying to get — inquiries, foot traffic, applicants — and work back from that, not from a follower count.
- Fewer platforms done properly beats five done badly. We’d rather run two accounts well.
- Posting cadence is set by how much good content exists, never by hitting an arbitrary number.
- Paid budget goes behind posts that already earned engagement organically, rather than boosting blind.
- You own your accounts. Admin access, followers and content history stay with you — if we ever part ways, none of it leaves with us.
Commercials We’ve Produced
These are full commercials we wrote, shot and cut for local businesses — the same work that feeds the social accounts we manage. Every one was produced end to end by DeWitt Studios.
Social Media Questions, Answered
Which social platforms should my business actually be on?
Fewer than you think. The right answer is wherever your customers already are, and where you can sustain real content. For most Richmond businesses that’s one or two platforms done consistently — Instagram if your work is visual, LinkedIn if you sell to other businesses, Facebook if your audience skews local. Being mediocre on five platforms is worse than being good on two.
How often should a business post on social media?
Often enough to stay familiar, not so often that quality drops. For most small businesses that’s a few times a week, consistently, rather than a burst of daily posts followed by three quiet weeks. Cadence matters less than not disappearing.
Do I need to be on TikTok?
Only if your customers are there and you can feed it. TikTok rewards volume and native-feeling video, so it punishes businesses that post repurposed photos once a fortnight. If you can’t sustain it, that effort is better spent elsewhere.
What’s the difference between organic social and paid social?
Organic is what you post to people who already follow you. Paid puts budget behind content to reach people who don’t. Organic builds the relationship; paid buys reach. Most businesses need both, and the best paid results usually come from promoting posts that already performed organically.
How long before social media brings in business?
Longer than paid search, and it compounds rather than switching on. Engagement moves within weeks; inquiries attributable to social usually take months of consistent presence. Anyone quoting a fixed timeline is guessing. If you need leads this month, that’s what Google Ads is for.
Who creates the content — me or you?
We do. We’re a photography and video studio, so shoots are part of the service rather than something you have to supply. Business commercials, brand spotlights, testimonials, event coverage and stills are all produced in-house.
Do you run Google Ads as well?
Search ads are a separate service — see our Google Ads Management page. Social reaches people before they’re looking; search catches them at the moment they are.
Ready to Grow Your Audience?
Social is the distribution for everything else we make for you. If we’re already shooting your commercials, brand videos and stills, putting them in front of the right people is the natural next step. Let’s talk about what that looks like for your business.
